The last several days have been indeed busy for me. I shall post in sub-headings because I suck at connecting paragraphs, haha.
Exclusive screening of LOTR in blu-ray: A couple weeks back I had won two tickets to an exclusive screening of LOTR in blu-ray at Crown Casino. Apparently, the viewers and I were among the first 125 people in Australia to first see it in blu-ray, haha. It makes me feel slightly special. But anyway, the screening was of course amazing, however, there were these two girls who sat near me that kept talking! I wanted to go over to them and scratch their eyes out. Seriously.
While I did enjoy the film in blu-ray, I don't think I'll buy it. I feel the distributors are simply finding ways to milk money from the fans. If people were to buy this film, it will only mean they have a second copy of the original! Besides, LOTR has SO MANY editions of the film which I have simply lost count! First, there was the original release of the film, which is good. And the extended special release (in two versions: DVDs only, or DVDs and other gifts; I bought the latter for the entire trilogy), which was excellent because the extra content was incredibly comprehensive, and then were was the extended cut in two DVDs, which I did not bother with, and now blu-ray. I have a feeling the extended versions will be released in blu-ray too...
( It's longer than I thought... )
